Georgian authorities merge two state agencies - media

The Georgian government decided to merge the Service Agency of the Ministry of Finance and the National Agency of State Property of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Georgia's Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava said, according to Georgian media outlets.

One department will be formed as a result of two agencies’ merger, which will be subordinated to the Ministry of Economy.

“Our property management agency deals with privatization of state property, whereas the similar structure exists at the Ministry of Finance, which sells movable property. Thus, those two agencies will be merged in order to make activities easier for our residents and businesses,” Trend cited Turnava as saying.

Meanwhile, National Agency of State Property will dispose the real estate as well as movable property and this service will be offered more easily through a unified electronic platform.
